From Cocoon to Chrysalis

A message for those walking the spiral together

Something subtle is happening in the field right now — not just individually, but collectively.

For months many of us have been in a cocoon:
a sanctuary,
a soft held space,
a womb of protection and incubation.

Cocoons are built around us.
They are environments of safety we step into.
They are the Gate 3 spaces of rest, regulation, and re-patterning.

But a chrysalis is different.

A chrysalis is not around the being —
a chrysalis is the being.

It forms from the inside.
It is the moment identity softens, dissolves, reorganizes.
It is where imaginal cells begin to awaken and recognize one another.

In the cocoon, we are held.
In the chrysalis, we become.

Yesterday, during Shifra’s session, I could feel the shift:
the move from sanctuary to metamorphosis,
from incubation into re-formation,
from holding…. to becoming the one who will emerge.

This is the stage where the old self melts,
the new pattern assembles,
and the future form whispers through the walls.

If you’ve been feeling intensity, acceleration, or quiet inner re-shaping,
you’re not alone.
This is the chrysalis —
the sacred in-between
where the butterfly is already present
but the world cannot yet see her.

I wrote a longer reflection on this whole pattern —
the Five Worlds, the Eight Steps, the Spiral, and the move toward Thirteen.
If it resonates, you can read it here:

May we honor the cocoon, but trust the chrysalis.

Something luminous is forming.

  1. The thoughts put into words are very truthful, very intimate, very time appropriate. May you, Michael, come to be the awakening and emerging of your soul’s transformation.
